Men appear in court over stabbing

40 year old Leo Mhillaj from Hanley has been charged with attempted murder, two counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and another count of violent disorder after two people were stabbed in Stoke-on-Trent.

Emergency services were called to The Strand, in Longton, on Saturday, following a report of a group of people fighting in the street with weapons.

Two men who were injured in the stabbing and were taken to hospital, where they remain in a stable condition Two other men, 22 year old Aldo Hala of Goldenhill, and 28 year old Kostandin Kola,from Penkhull, have already been charged in connection with the investigation.

They will return to court at the beginning of July.
