More runners than ever celebrated 10K 10th anniversary
More than 2,200 people crossed the finish line of the Stafford 10K last month, the largest number ever to do so.
This was a notable increase from the 1,895 people who took part in the 10K in 2025.
This year, the race celebrated its 10th birthday with the course having been designed by local runner Christine after winning the event's anniversary competition.
First across the line was Lee Gratton (Rugeley Runners) with a time of 30:33.
Lee also won last year's 10K and the Stafford Half Marathon back in March.
Stephanie Giles (Alchester Running Club) was the female winner, completing the course in 37:33.
Runners of all abilities took part in the race which is organised by Freedom Leisure in partnership with Stafford Borough Council who said "the annual event brought thousands of runners, supporters and volunteers together for a fantastic celebration of running and community spirit in the heart of the county town.”
