Patron saint honoured

A TRADITIONAL service honouring a patron saint will return for its fourth year this autumn. The Erkenwald Service will take place at Soulton Hall near Whitchurch on Saturday, November 14.

It marks the translation feast day of St Erkenwald, a seventh-century Saxon prince, bishop, and lawgiver who is also the patron saint of London.Organisers say the event offers a space for reconciliation and fellowship, especially in the context of difficult historical memories.
