School traffic enforcement plans delayed
Enforcement of new traffic restrictions at a Stoke-on-Trent primary school has been delayed by seven months. School Streets scheme at Hillside Primary School, in Baddeley Green, was launched by Stoke-on-Trent City Council in February.
School Streets involves motorists being barred from roads around a school during the mornings and afternoons, in order to improve safety for pupils and parents.
But enforcement of the Hillside scheme has been delayed due to the need to install columns and power supplies for the cameras.
The council says that enforcement will now begin in September.
