Staffy trail boosts economy
More than 6,000 people are estimated to have explored the Staffy Trail since its launch, generating an early boost of up to £180,000 for Staffordshire's visitor economy.
The popular public art and heritage trail, delivered by the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Local Visitor Economy Partnership (LVEP) in partnership with Staffordshire County Council and Making Trails, has already attracted almost 3,000 app users, with thousands more taking part using printed maps and visiting the sculptures independently. The Staffy Trail features eleven giant Staffy sculptures across Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, Tamworth, Uttoxeter and Lichfield, encouraging people to discover Staffordshire's attractions, heritage and independent businesses.
