Two arrested over vehicle theft

Police have made two arrests after a stolen car was pursued through the streets of Stoke-on-Trent. The blue Toyota was stolen in Birches Head on Monday 11 May and was last night seen on Leek New Road. The force helicopter was scrambled. The chase came to an end on Cromer Road, in Northwood. A 19-year-old woman, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and vehicle damage. A 19-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
